Geocache Description:

World cup 2010 is over now, and with just 2 finds during the tournament you didn’t do much better than England did in the cup! I will leave the cache active and make the parameters easier by set to “within 10m” go on have a go!

SPOT THE BALL

This cache is based on the popular magazine game where the football is air brushed out and you have to guess where the ball should be.  In this cache  version you are given the co-ordinates of the 4 corner flags at Mansfield Town FC. The pitch is divided into a virtual 3m grid and you have to guess which box the imaginary football is in.  Enter your guessed co-ordinates into the Geocheck box below and if you are within 3m you will be rewarded by being given the co-odinates of an actual cache close to the ground.
SPOT THE BALL within the corner flags   Flag 1  N 53 008.252  W 001 012.034

  Flag 2  N 53 008.289  W 001 012.099

  Flag 3  N 53 008.277  W 001 011.993

  Flag 4  N 53 008.315  W 001 012.059

HINT: "It's a funny old game", use Google Earth to help you find the possible co-ordinates; all you need is patience and a little bit of luck .
Enter your guesses in the Geochecker on the right:-

"Its a game of two halfs"

SPOT THE BALL (part 2)

Now you have guessed the co-ordinates all you now need to do, is SPOT THE BALL shaped cache hidden close to the ground.

"They Think It's All Over, It Is Now!"

Man of the match goes to Ian Rufford for scoring the first goal on this one. Patience pays off in the end!
