This cache is an ammo can placed near a picnic area in a small shopping center located right off of Highway 51 N in Minocqua. There is plenty of parking available and the cache site is accessible by wheelchair.
Wisconsin Geocaching Association Cache of the Month September 2016 We've placed this cache to honor our love of cheese. Yum! There are over 600 varieties of cheeses made in Wisconsin, whose rich cheese history dates back over 160 years. Wisconsin was the first state to grade cheese for quality and the only state with a rigorous Master Cheesemaking Certification program. Happy cows may come from California- but the best cheese still comes from The Dairy State! There is a special geocoin for the FTF in this cache, with a special mission! Please note that there may be very high muggle activity during business hours, and stealth may be needed when finding and replacing the cache. We've placed it in an area that provides the seeker with a good vantage point to watch for approaching muggles. Please take the cache container over to the picnic table or another area away from its hiding place to sift through the swag and sign the logbook if there are muggles about. Permission was granted to place this cache by the property owners and we have also informed all of the tenant businesses and their employees about the presence of the cache and geocaching in general. This cache will be available in winter but it may be icy and/or under snow.
