Geocache Description:

This is now a green plastic 4-inch round x 1.5-in screw top container along Highway 3 in Southeast Oklahoma and starting with a few trade items.

Nearby Alikchi Springs was site of court ground for Apukshunnubbee District, Choctaw Nation, 1836-1906. Justice was dispensed here for major crimes committed by Choctaws, including capital punishment. The last legal execution under Choctaw law was carried out here on July 13, 1899, when William Goings was executed for murder by Sheriff Tom Watson. Alikchi is a Choctaw word for medicine man.
