Poradatelé pražského PRAGeo games megaeventu si pro vás pripravili spoustu doprovodných akcí, aby se megaevent nestal jen obycejným startovním místem pred odlovem keší. A protože se mezi vámi jiste najde i rada takových, kterí si krome pohodového nenárocného klábosení na subeventech rádi protáhnou své nohy pri sportu – a nemáme ted na mysli zrovna zbesilé šlapání na pedály pri honu po "okreskách" za dalším drive-in FTF – pripravili jsme pro vás

ZÁVOD V GEORIENTACNÍM BEHU - SMIK
aneb "GEOrientacní beh S MIgrujícími kontrolami.

Slova "závod" se pritom nemusíte hned lekat – úcastníci svoji úcast sice budou moci brát smrtelne vážne, protože vítez závodu (a nikdo jiný) získá právo na eventové FTF, nehynoucí slávu a nejspíš i nejaký ten diplom a vecnou cenu, stejne tak si trat ale budete moci i na pohodu projít.

Tento event si jako attended bude moci zalogovat každý, kdo do závodu odstartuje, nalezne aspon jednu kontrolu a vrátí se do cíle. Wherigo hra dostane po megaeventu finální krabku a bude publikována jako trvalá. Závodníci, kterí pri eventu splní podmínky trvalé cache (urcité procento bodu - bude vcas upresneno) si ji budou moci následne zalogovat bez nustnosti znova trat absolvovat.

Kdy: v sobotu 26.6.2010 dopoledne – start bude otevren od 9:30 do 11:30 h

* V nedeli bude možné si trat obehnout sice bez úcasti v závode ale s bodem za subevent
* Instruktáž ke SMIKu i orientacnímu behu obecne probehne na startu v 9:00
* závodník by se mel na start dostavit alespon 15 minut pred vlastním startem

Kde: ve Vidrholci = v Klánovickém lese.
Start se nachází na okraji Klánovic cca. 3km od Hummeru, v dohledu od souradnic N 50° 05.633 E 014° 40.517. Z Hummeru je ideální prijet na kole ci prijít pešky, z mesta pak MHD (nejlépe vlakem). Pokud prijedete autem, parkujte v okolních ulicích za plného respektu k predpisum a ohledu k místním.

Závodník/tým si muže zvolit svuj startovní cas (celé císlo v intervalu 0 až 120 znamenající pocet minut po 9:30 = "00", v každé minute muže startovat jen jeden závodník/tým). Velikost týmu není omezena, každý tým však dostane jen jednu mapu. Pocet týmu je omezen císlem 120, dokud nebude vycerpán, bude možno dohlásit se i prímo na startu, v tom prípade doporucujeme být tam již v 9:00.

Vybavení:
nezbytné: osvedcené zarízení pro hraní Wherigo
doporucené: buzola, hodinky (optimálne digitální se stopkami), obuv a odev vhodné do lesa – namocení nohou hrozí i v prípade, že nebude pršet, pruhledná kancelárská folie (formát A4) na zabalení mapy.
Nekolik buzol (nevalné kvality) budeme moci na míste zapujcit (kdo drív prijde...).

Doplnující informace budou zverejneny cca. týden pred megaeventem (kde a jak získají mapy ne-závodníci, kde a jak získáte WIG cartridge, upresnený casový program, podmínky pro možnost zalogování budoucí fyzické keše atd.).

CO JE TO "SMIK"

Co je orientacní beh a jaká nese úskalí asi vysvetlovat nemusíme. Kdo neví, na internetu toho najde spoustu, treba zde.
Pokud to se závodením myslíte vážne a pritom nemáte s orientací podle mapy a buzoly mnoho zkušeností, doporucujeme ješte pred tímto závodem absolvování jedné ci více orientáckých cachí, kterých naleznete dostatek v Praze:

ORIENTACNÍ BEH S MIGRUJÍCÍMI KONTROLAMI

je vnesení rovnou dvojitého chaosu do klasického orientáku, pri nemž jde o to obehnout stanovenou trasu v co nejkratším case:
Za prvé, jde o tzv. skorelauf, neboli závod, pri nemž jednotlivé kontroly nejsou pospojovány do povinné posloupnosti, ale je jim prirazeno bodové ohodnocení a závodník je muže obíhat v libovolném poradí, pricemž jeho cílem je v daném casovém limitu posbírat co nejvíce bodu.
A za druhé, jak název napovídá, tyto kontroly migrují. Nejde pritom o náhodný Brownuv pohyb lampionu krovím, ale naopak pohyb podle presného "jízdního rádu": každá kontrola má 3 pozice, oznacené A, B a C. Od okamžiku startu se po nejaký cas nachází na pozici A. Po uplynutí stanovené doby na nejaký cas zcela zmizí (presouvá se), aby se poté objevila na pozici B. Toto pak následuje ješte jednou do pozice C, kde zustává do vypršení casového limitu (presneji receno ješte i nejakou dobu poté – nenechte se tím zmást!). Pokud chce závodník za príslušnou kontrolu získat body, musí být na její správné pozici ve správném casovém intervalu. Pritom pocet bodu je ve všech pozicích stejný a za každou kontrolu lze body získat pouze jednou, bez ohledu na její ruzné pozice! Vítezem se stává závodník, který získává nejvíce bodu, pritom za návrat do cíle po uplynutí casového limitu jsou trestné body. Pri rovnosti bodu mezi více závodníky je lepší ten, který se do cíle vrátil dríve.

THE GEORIENTEERING COMPETITION #1
Wherigo-based orienteering with migrating checkpoints

...is here for you as one of the bricks in the building of the mega-event. As first: do not fear of the word "competition"! You may take this action fully seriously, because the winner of each of the competitions gains the right to log "FTF" on this event as well as eternal glory and likely also some reward, but you may also just come to pass the race without having done single quick step.

When: on Saturday, 26th of June, in the morning – start will be opened from 9:30 a.m. through 11:30 a.m.

* on Sunday you will be allowed to pass the race and get a point for this event cache without taking part in the competition
* explanation of the orienteering with migrating checkpoints and also of orienteering in general will be provided at the place of start at 9:00 a.m. (if not requested otherwise, in Czech only – if you do require explanation in another language, please let us know; in advance if possible)
* each competitor shall arrive to the start at least 15 minutes before his/her starting time

Where: in the Vidrholec woods.
Starting area is situated at the edge of Klanovice municipality, some 3 km from Hummer, at the coordinates N 50° 05.633 E 014° 40.517. Finish is at the same place. If you come by car, park somewhere in the streets, respecting the traffic rules and with regards to local people.

Each competitor/team may choose their starting time (an integer in the space between 0 and 120, meaning minutes after 9:30 a.m. = "00", only one competitor/team are allowed to start at each time). Size of the teams is not limited, however, each team will be given only one map. Number of teams is limited do 120, if this limit would not be reached, also on-site applications would be allowed, in such case we recommend you to arrive as soon as at 9:00 a.m. to the starting area.

Equipment:
Required: reliable Wherigo hardware
Recommended: compass, watch (at best a digital one with stop-watch), transparent office envelope to protect your map against weather (A4 size), clothes and shoes compatible with woods – getting your legs wet is likely also in the case of no rain.
We will bring several compasses (of poor quality) which you will be allowed to borrow (whoever asks earlier...).

Detailed information will be published here approx. 1 week before the mega-event (where and how the non-competitors will be able to obtain maps, where and how you will be given the WIG cartridges – will be available in Czech, English and German, detailed timetable etc.)

WHAT THE ORIENTEERING WITH MIGRATING CHECKPOINTS (abbr. "SMIK" in Czech) IS

Hopefully we do not have to explain what the orienteering is and how treacherous it can be. If you do not know, you can finds much about it on the Internet. If you would like to take this competition seriously (i.e. to really compete for medals) while being only very sparse experienced in orientation with map and compass, try to go for some orienteering based cache still before this competition. We hope there are lots of them not only in Prague.

ORIENTEERING WITH MIGRATING CONTROLS

means the injection of two chaos generators together into the “common” orienteering, where the issue is simple lying just in passing as quick as possible the given, unambiguously defined track. First, the “SMIK” is so called scorelauf, i.e. a competition, where no mandatory sequence of the checkpoints is given, but the single checkpoints are assigned their point value and each competitor tries to gain as much point as possible during a given time limit. Second, as the name hints, the checkpoints are migrating. This does not mean they are moving in the bushes fully randomly and unpredictably, exactly the opposite is true – they have a precise timetable: each checkpoint exists in 3 positions, marked A, B and C. From the starting time the checkpoint is available some time in position A. Then it diminishes (it is on the way) to occur in position B at a given point in time later. This process is repeated once more towards the position C, where the checkpoint stays until the end of the competition (do not get confused – checkpoints are active still several minutes after the time limit has ended!). If a competitor wants to get points for some checkpoint, he or she needs to be on the right place at a correct moment. For each checkpoint the number of points is the same for all its positions, but the points may be gained only once regardless of different positions! The competitor who has the most points is the winner. If more competitors have the same points, the shorter time between start and finish the better.

All about this very interesting orienteering discipline may be found on the webpage of the lavie Prague orienteering club - unfortunately in Czech only. This club organizes a world SMIK championship annually.
