Geocache Description:

Just a small talk-event

We will stay in Lisboa at the 08/06/2010 overnight with the german cruise ship AIDAvita and just want to get the chance to meet some portuguese caching people.



Definitely it will be interesting to talk about the differences in caching in Portugal and Germany.

Meeting point will be the steps at the coordinates, meeting time will be 7:30pm.

So, just meet us at the steps and show us a good bar or fanstastic caches at Lisboa and have a nice evening with us ;-)

AIDA is a german cruiseship-company, that owns 7 ships at the moment. They have the typical kiss mouth at their bow and are not "normal" cruiseships with captainsdinner or something like that. The AIDA-idea is to bring the spirit of a club-holiday to the sea. "Everything can do, nothing must."
We'll start our tour at Mallorca/Spain and will stop at Cárdiz/Spain, Lisboa/Portugal, Cartagena and Malaga/Spain. After one week we'll stop at Mallorca, again.


UPDATE (26/05/10):
I just saw, that the AIDAvita anchoring at an other place this time. Two weeks ago, they anchored close to the meeting point, but yesterday they stoped at the pier next to the Panteáu Nacional. I just sended an email to AIDA and asked, if they can say, where they anchored the next time. Maybe we'll have to change the meeting point, because we will need a place, which is in walking distance.
All attended geocacher will get a notice if I'll get further informations.

Next update (2010-06-01):
I got the answer from AIDA-Cruises: they plan to anchor at the "St. Apolonia"-pier and so I decided to change the metting point to "Praca do Comércio".
Now I just looked at the internetpages of the Port Authority of Lisbon and saw that the AIDAvita will anchroed next to the cruiseship terminal. So bad!!!
But I doesn't change the coordinates again. If we'll stop at the cruiseship terminal, we'll take a taxi to get to the Praca do Comércio. :-)
