Geocache Description:

Added Tons of New Treasures to Cache in honor of Geocaching Campout Jun 1 - 3 2012 at Gov Dodge!

Great hike through some of the most scenic areas of Governor Dodge State Park.

No matter which route you take to get here, you'll be glad you made the journey.

This cache is an ammo box that is filled with super-hero related items.

If possible, try to keep the super-hero theme going. Remember to cover the cache back up before you leave so that casual passersby don't spot it.

This cache is not easy to spot. In fact, you won't be able to see it at all from the trail...so get ready to do a bit of off-roading to get to it.

There have been a lot of people who have found it with no problems and others who either do not find it or find it 100 feet or so off coordinates. I honestly don't know what to say about that as I have checked and triple checked the coordinates and they are accurate as posted.

Possibly some GPS units have troubles getting an accurate fix due to foliage and/or the rocks (maybe there is a lot of iron in the rocks there throwing their systems off. This is a large cliff after all that the cache sits upon so it could be that the rocks combine with the dense foliage there to throw off coordinates just a bit.

Therefore, be aware that depending on your GPS device, you may have to search in up to a 100 foot radius of the original coordinates.

Please refer to the hint/spoiler for more detailed clues if you get frustrated.

You can get to the cache from three different routes. If you start out in the Twin Forks picnic parking area...you will take a great hike along the back-country of the park, giving you the most beautiful views in the park. This is the recommended route if you want to take a nice leisurely hike through the park.

If you start in the one of the camping areas (Area G is a good starting point!), you've got an easy trail to follow, but quite a climb. Make sure you eat all your Wheaties first!

There is another route that is probably the shortest but must be accessed from a non-traditional entrance into the park.

Cache was placed on DNR land with permission of Park Supervisor. Geocache Placement Notification Form 2500-118 completed and signed by park supervisor 5/01/2010.
