COTTONWOOD ARCHWAY
N 44° 49.732 - W 093° 14.245


Allow about an hour round trip to hike and explore old Cedar Avenue, or a half hour if you are fleet of foot. Bring your bike for an even quicker tour. You will be looking for a micro cache containing a log.

Access to the cache is from Silver Bell Road to Nicols Road in Eagan - it is not accessible from the Bloomingtion (North) side of the bridge. You can park in the State Park lot or outside the park area. A concrete walkway inside the park leads you up and over the new bridge. Then just follow the road (old Cedar Avenue) to where the cache is located. Please be aware that the area 50 feet from the old road is a National Wildlife Refuge which is strictly forbidden for geocaching. Also, remember to bring a pencil and water on those hot summer days.
