Savonlinnan pääterveysasema sijaitsee kauniin Pihlajaveden rannalla. Laitaatsalmen toisella puolella toimii sisävesiemme suurin telakka. Terveysasema on rakennettu kolmessa vaiheessa, jotka ovat valmistuneet vuosina 1981, 1991 ja 1992. Sen ovat suunnitelleet arkkitehtitoimistot Veikko Voutilainen Oy ja Rakennusmiljöö Oy. Nykyisin siinä toimii lääkäreiden vastaanotto, kolme vuodeosastoa, joissa on yhteensä n. 120 potilaspaikkaa, laboratorio, fysioterapia, äitiys- ja lastenneuvola, työterveyshuolto, kotihoidon yksikkö, hammashoitola, psykiatrian poliklinikka, ympäristöterveydenhuolto ja eläinlääkäri. Hallinnollisesti se on kuulunut vuoden 2007 alusta alkaen Itä-Savon sairaanhoitopiirin kuntayhtymään eli Sosteriin.

The head health station of Savonlinna stands bank of the beautiful lake Pihlajavesi. On the other side of Laitaatsalmi there are the biggest shipyard of Finland’s inland. The health centre has been built at three periods, which have been completed at 1981, 1991 and 1992. It is planned by architect offices Veikko Voutilainen Oy and Rakennusmiljöö Oy. Nowadays there operate doctor's appointments, three wards for chronic patients, where are about 120 beds, laboratory, physiotherapy unit, maternity and child clinic, occupational health clinic, home care unit, dentists, psychiatry clinic, environment health unit and animal doctor. Administrative it has belonged to Itä-Savo hospital district called “Sosteri” since 1.1.2007.
Open the cover carefully. The box will break easily in frost.
Be cautious! There are lots of geomugglers. The walls have eyes.
