A quick cache and dash (depending on muggles) on the newly
restored pier which provides good views towards both Mackenzie area
and the marina.
Nearby is Larnaca Castle which was built in 1625 and originally
served as a prison. The promenade walls within the castle provide
good views of the Scala Quarter (formerly one of Larnaca's Turkish
neighbourhoods) with its Buyuk Kebir Cami (mosque). Today the
castle houses an impressive archaeological museum, built like a
labyrinth and dedicated to ancient Kition and later periods. During
the summer the castle doubles as the Larnaca Municipal Cultural
Centre.
