This is our first ever cache placement. The cache is a magnetised 35mm film container hidden close to the bridge over the River Pinn on St Martin's Approach.
The cache is located close to the river Pinn. You could find it whilst walking all or part of the enjoyable Celandine route which follows the river from Pinner to Cowley - details of the route can be found here. Alternatively it can be done as a cache 'n' dash with free road parking in St Martin's Approach near the bridge. Ruislip tube/bus station is a 15 minute walk away.
The town of Ruislip is in the London Borough of Hillingdon, yet areas like this feel more like the countryside. It is lovely to walk alongside the river or to stand at the bridge watching the water flow, and spotting ducks, herons, coots and occasionally kingfishers.
The cache should be wheelchair accessible as you do not need to leave the pavement to find it.
Cache only contains a log book. You will need your own pen.
FTF congratulations go to Smithcox.
