Die Bezirksstadt Waidhofen geht auf eine in der zweiten Hälfte des 12. Jahrhunderts planmäßig angelegte Burgsiedlung zurück. Diese ersetzte die Altsiedlung "Alt-Waidhofen" jenseits der Thaya aus dem frühen 12. Jahrhundert. Als Gründer gelten die Grafen von Pernegg.
Erwähnenswert ist auch der typische Waldviertler Glockenturm, der auf einem der Privatgrundstücke zu sehen ist. Es handelt sich um einen für das Waldviertel typischen Glockenturm aus Holz, der in Ortschaften ohne eigene Kapelle die Glocke oder das Geläut aufnimmt.
Er besteht aus vier Holzsäulen, die quer verschränkt sind, nach oben hin zusammenlaufen und ein blechgedecktes Pyramidendach tragen. Gekrönt wird der Turm mit einem großen Kreuz. Direkt unterhalb des Daches hängt geschützt, aber frei, die Glocke.
Gib bitte Acht auf Muggles im nahen Betrieb und im Garten nebenan!
Heben des Caches daher außerhalb der Bürozeiten bzw. am Wochenende empfohlen.
Zusatzinfo: Der Cache befindet sich auf öffentlichem Gut und nicht auf Privatgrund ;)
Dieser Cache wurde am 7.9.2012 von Cat_67 & Xenon_76 übernommen. Damit ein unauffälligeres Heben möglich ist, wurde Cachegröße auf Micro (Filmdose) geändert. Es ist ein "Notfall-Minibleistift" im Cache, aber es wird empfohlen einen eigenen Stift mitzubringen!
Cacher, die alle Caches, welche Cat_67 & Xenon_76 in Waidhofen/Thaya und Umgebung gehören, geloggt haben, können sich per email via Profil bei Cat_67 melden und erhalten dann Logerlaubnis für unsere "Groundspeak Lackey '11 Geocoin".

The district town of Waidhofen goes to the second half of the 12th Century castle fort settlement back on schedule. It replaced the older twn "Altwaidhofen" beyond the Thaya from the early 12th century. As founder of the counts apply the Earls Pernegg.

This cache was adopted by Cat_67 & Xenon_76 on Sept 7 2012. To make a more discreet lift possible, cache size has been changed to Micro (Film Canister). There is an "emergency micro-pencil" in the cache, but it is recommended to bring your own pencil with you!

Okresní město Waidhofen jde do druhé poloviny 12. století hrad pokračoval zúčtovací zády plánu. Nahradil starší TWN "Altwaidhofen" nad Dyji z počátku 12. století. Jak zakladatel počtů použít Earls Pernegg.
Uvědomte si mudlové ve společnosti konci a na zahradě nedaleké! Proto se doporučuje, aby mezipaměti mimo úřední hodiny nebo to o víkendech.
Také stojí za zmínku, je typický Waldviertler zvonice lze vidět na jednom z soukromém pozemku. Je to typické pro Waldviertel dřevěnou zvonicí, která sídlí ve vesnicích bez soukromou kapli, zvonek nebo zvony.
