Geocache Description:

Sam Gribley is the main character in the book My Side of the Mountain by Jean Craighead George. He ran away from his home somewhere in the cities of New York. He ran away to the Catskill Mountains and went to live in the hollow of a great old hemlock tree that's 6 feet in diameter! The cache is hidden around or in a tree that's big, but not as big as Sam's tree. The first time that we saw that tree, it reminded us of that brave and resourceful boy and his adventures in the untaimed woods. You can rest on that beautiful tree and enjoy the view!
Be stealthy for bikers and walkers.
Happy caching!
