The fishing in Island in XIXth century was a flourishing business but also brought tenth of wreckages and hundreds of crewmembers drowned. This wall recalls the boats and names of the unlucky crewmen.
La pêche islandaise était très lucrative au XIX° siècle. Les pauvres pouvaient difficilement refuser un embarquement vers les bancs de pêches Islandais. Une zone pourtant réputée dangereuse. Le mur de ce cimetière rappelle les noms des bateaux et équipages malheureux.
