Ring of Laughter is a series of caches around Laughter Tor and Bellever Tor. It was created by Mike+Mary with help from Michaela, Alex and Maisie.
The ring is planned as a rewarding 5.8km circular walk with splendid views in all directions across the moor. The caches are numbered clockwise but it can be done either way. The start is Bellever Forest car park, a lovely area of shady woodland where you will find ample parking, decent loos and many superb picnic spots by the side of the East Dart River. The circuit could take over 3 hours depending on stops so a £2 parking fee is needed.
At ROL4 Laughter Tor is directly ahead of you - a great place to stop for refreshment & admire the view.
Skylark City is very close to ROL4.
There's no obvious path to ROL5, but if you circle south below the tor you'll come across several tracks heading westward through the heather. If you go round the northern side of the tor, the terrain is a bit strenuous. Alternatively, why not divert SSW to find Dartmoor Menhirs No 3 Loughtor Man. It's a short detour which takes you to a rough track leading to ROL5.
