Geocache Description:

Sokrovisha was and is again located in the Kennemerduinen. De Kennemerduinen is part of the National Park Zuid-Kennemerland (NPZK) and managed by Provinciaal Waterleidingbedrijf Noord-Holland (PWN).

The published coordinates belongs to the entrance Koevlak and is opposite " Duincentrum De Zandwaaier"; very nice to visit, especially for children.
The price for parking your car is € 3,40. But there is a free parking close to the water tower at:

 This parking is only 450 m from the entrance.

The NS railway station Overveen is 1 km to the east of the entrance. The co-ordinates for this station are:

In dit prachtige gebied hebben zich in 2de wereldoorlog verschrikkelijke dingen afgespeeld. Aan het einde van de zomer van 1945 zijn hier op 45 plaatsen de stoffelijke overschotten gevonden van 422 verzetsmensen waaronder Hannie Schaft (het meisje met het rode haar). Zij waren allen gefusilleerd en de meesten in massagraven begraven. Tijdens de wandeling zal het kruis van de Eerebegraafplaats te Bloemendaal vaak te zien zijn. Dit is de plaats waar de stoffelijke resten zijn herbegraven en waar alle verzetsmensen worden geëerd. Voor hen wordt de vlag gehesen. In de duinen staan een aantal gedenkstenen op de plaatsen waar de massagraven zich bevonden. Tijdens de wandeling zullen we er een aantal tegenkomen.


To find this geocache you have to solve a few simple puzzles and you have to walk 6 km.

From the entrance Koevlak we walk to a blue information panel at the lake ´t Wed on:

On the bottom of this panel you can see 3 lines with telephone numbers. We will use the last line (Informatie) and use the 7 figures on the right side of this line.
A = value of 2nd figure
B = 1st + 2nd - 3rd figure
C = 1st + 4th figure
D = 5th + 6th + 7th figure
E = 1st figure

We walk in a NW direction and follow the blue marked posts till we reach:
N 52 24.ED7
E 04 34 AA0
From this point take the path in NE direction and go to:
N 52 24.AC9
E 04 34.CC2
We are now halfway. Take a rest and enjoy the views. To the south you can see the cross of the Eerebegraafplaats, to the west the Northsea and to the north you can see the lake Vogelmeer. East of this lake was the former location of the Sokrovisha geocache.

On this point there is a dust-bin (vuilnisbak) with a black number on it (Look out; maybe the bag covers this number).
This number consist of 2 figures.

Walk east to the crossing on:

On this crossing you can see 2 road signs.
H = Distance to Bloemendaal aan Zee and back
K = Distance to Ingang Koevlak minus distance to Speelvijver ´t Wed
M = Distance to Parnassia Strand minus distance to Vogelmeer

Walk east to one of the memorial stones on:

How many killed persons have been found on this spot.

Now it is time to hunt for the Sokrovisha geocache on:
