Clean Green Wonderland
This may be the biggest natural spring in the north island, New Zealand, pumping an impressive 4,500,000 litres or 1,000,000 gallons of clean pure water per hour flowing into Lake Rotorua then via the Ohau channel into Lake Rotoiti exiting into the Okere Falls down the Kaituna River finaly ending up in the Pacific Ocean near Maketu on the east coast of New Zealand. Here you will also find a stand of 80 year old Californian Redwoods and a good number of waterfowl, keep a keen look out for trout in this stream as well.
Your mission is to report the elevation found on the information board at this location to verify your success and then email it through to me when you do your log. Please remember not to put this information in your log as you might spoil it for others, also include a photo of yourself holding your gps taken with the springs/river in background in with your log.
Sorry but as of 1st December 2007, no logs will be accepted without photographic proof of your visit due to a few from around the world who see fit to couch-cache spoiling it for everyone.... Also you may be charged an entrance fee to the area !!!
