Geocache Description:

A quick cache & dash at Glen Ord Distillery, the only remaining single malt whisky distillery on the Black Isle and located in Muir of Ord.

The Glen Ord Distillery was founded in 1838, it's soil, the barley, the sea air and the marvellously soft water that imparts Glen Ord Single Malt with a 'flavoursome roundness' that has earned this unique spirit the International Wine & Spirits Competition 94 & 95 Gold Medal for the World's best single malt and 96 & 97 Monde Selection Awards. It is known as the 'Richer Malt' from the Black Isle in the Northern Highlands
If you have time can recommend you take a tour around the distillery.

Parking for this cache & dash is available in the distillery car park and the cache itself is hidden outside the grounds of the distillery. Stealth is needed as there is always a lot of activity in this area. You can get quite a good photo of the distillery from the cache site!

Cache container is a small sample tube - unused for anything other than holding a log sheet & pencil.
