Geocache Description:

This is a virtual cache in Washington DC. No actual cache container can be used in the DC area, of course. Distance to the cache varies depending on how lucky you are finding a good parking space! Good Hiking.

The first time I visited Washington DC, we went to many of the monuments very late at night. It is different when it is quiet and calm without the volume of visitors. It seems more solemn and you can feel the history. We went to the area of the cache, and the power of this area in the darkness is indescribable. I went back to DC this week and visited the area in the day and the night. I HIGHLY recommend that you visit this cache at night. You will not forget the image of how beautiful this place is in the quiet, peaceful nighttime setting.

As with all virtual caches, you must prove to me that you went to the cache location.

-- First, tell me where the coordinates take you (far left, center, far right, or panorama vista of location near tree, etc.).
-- Second, look down and you will see a light on the ground. There are 4 inch square bricks embedded in the ground between the light and the wall. Tell me how many full bricks there are between the light and the wall (not counting the partial brick). Only count a single row from the light to the wall.
-- Third, you must confirm to me that you personally visited this location and are not logging by finding the answers from another person and/or on the internet.

You can send messages through the message center for your answers. Email me using the profile page link at the top of this page. If you use the GC.com email system and uncheck the box to give me your email address, I may not reply to you. If you don't email me your log may be deleted with no explanation.
