The cache is located between Larnaca Airport and the coast beside a long stretch of quiet pebbled and sandy beaches.
There is a good all weather track leading to the cache, but following long periods of rain, this may be affected by flooding as it is built on part of the salt lake.
Many varied wildfowl may be viewed here throughout the year, with the highlight being the arrival of many hundreds of flamingos during the winter period.
It is also an ideal place to get some good views of the airport operations.
If you continue along the coast the road eventually peters out and becomes a mud track, which is impassable following heavy rain. (It may be possible to continue to drive along the beach, but we’re not recommending it!) The cache ‘Seaside Breeze’ is located along here, from where you can walk right up to the airport fence for a close-up view.
