Geocache Description:

The cache is located on a footpath within 4 miles of the given coordinates (a memorial in the village of Wolston). This is roughly the mid point of a range of eight ACWA caches, which originally had to be visited to discover the final coordinates of the bonus cache. Now, it is only necessary to visit two caches.

The first part of the coordinates for the bonus cache is recorded in the log at Puzzle 1 Walk 12 (GC24PE9). The second part is at Puzzle2 Walk 12 (GC24PF0).

This is another in a series of caches created by ‘A Coventry Way Association’. The association was formed to promote a long distance footpath, A Coventry Way, and to support local authorities in the path’s maintenance. Our primary aim was to encourage people to discover and use the local countryside. A book of 21 Circular Walks was produced, broadly based on the main walk. Our plan is to set out a series of caches, located on or near each of the 21 walks. See (visit link) for further information.

The cache is a 0.3l lock and lock container, initially containing a few goodies, and a log. Please bring something to write with. The original cache included an original copy of the 21 walks book, not in pristine condition, but still very usable. This was a prize for the FTF. The new container isn't anywhere big enough for a book, but will take small TBs etc.

Take care, particularly with young children, when walking to the cache. The footpath passes a stream culvert, where a simple handrail protects you from a 6 ft drop. The footpath is also somewhat overgrown in places (19.7.15) but is well used, so it shouldn't be a problem.

The original cache location was compromised and the replacement became inaccessible. So now it is in a third location and means you don't have as far to walk. I did find a better spot, but it turned out to be too close to another cache. Answers at Puzzle1 & Puzzle2 have been changed accordingly.
