Geocache Description:

This is a mini-series placed in celebration of the 10 Year Anniversary of Geocaching!

Welcome to Paul Douglas Forest Preserve.  You will find that this series is best served by way of the bike trail with some of the hunts being bike friendly and others not so much.  You will find some location to be dry and some not so dry depending on time of year.  All hides are hidden traditionally and you can find a GPX file of the bike trail here.  Here you will find Cache #16 of 19 and this cache contains partial coordinates for #18.

Most of us have heard of or actually hunted the infamous series (and now archived ) "Geo-Golf", a classic in its own right which was the start of Geocaching in "Triads" in the Chicago area.  From this classic series other great series like Can Can, Box Box, and Jar Jar were soon to follow.  So where would that lead to next?  Who knew?  So as a tribute to some of our favorite series to date Princess and I would like to offer you "LOCK LOCK"!

In this series of 19 caches you will be looking for a variety of Lock N Lock containers (what else?) and like the others this series can be done in triads, or all at once.  For those of you that are new to "Triads", the concept is simple.  The first two caches (each of the twelve regular caches in this case) have half the coordinates for one of the mystery caches (i.e. find #1 and #2 and you will have the actual coords for #3, etc.).  The first 6 mystery caches contain the coordinates for the final cache (#19), in the series.

We have tried to locate this in an area that was conducive to all, be it alone or in a group, on foot or on bike, with what we hope you find to be convenient parking.  Good luck and have fun!  If you attack the whole series at once it would be interesting to see what your time is, feel free to include that in your log.  We hope you enjoy this series as much as Princess and I did planning and placing it for you!
