Vivian Akers was born in Norway, ME on 12/6/1886. He was educated in Norway schools and always had an interest in art. At age19, he went to New York to work at the Pulitzer publication New York World. He signed up for courses at the Art Students League to further his studies and then returned to Norway to attend Hebron Academy. He worked at a local photography studio and in 1930 began his painting career, being asked to paint Supreme Court justices and other famous people. He died on February 27, 1966.
Cache is a pesky micro just to satisfy those micro in the woods lovers. Cover is on the bottom. Be careful with the log falling out. 8/11/10 update: I cannot find the original cache although other people have. I have replaced it with a "flashlight" cache at the original spot. If you find the old micro with the wet, destroyed log, the find will not count. The new log will be the one you have to sign.
