This geocache is not winter friendly. Hidden about 1 mile along a moderately easy hiking trail. It is not easy to find. There are many, many possible hiding spots.
Container is a camouflaged 35 MM film canister hidden in the woods along the Northville-Placid hiking trail. There is only a log, please bring your own writing utensil.
When the trail divides, you can take either the hiking trail or the ski trail; they join back up before the cache location.
Skis or snowshoes are required in winter. Snowmobiles are prohibited.
Parking lot is located on Route 28N, just east of Long Lake.
This cache was set following the DEC guidelines Part 190: Use Of State Lands;
a geocache that is labeled with the owner's name and address and installed in a manner that does not disturb the natural conditions of the site or injure a tree.
