Geocaching
events are being planned world wide to celebrate the 10th
anniversary of geocaching, Locally TOGGA is dedicated to bringing
you an event that you will not soon forget and one that you don't
want to miss!

On May 1,
2000 the announcement that Selective Availability would be switched
off was made.
On May 2,
2000, at approximately midnight, eastern savings time Selective
Availability was switched off.
On May 3,
2000 Dave Ulmer initiated the "Great American GPS Stash Hunt" by
hiding a black bucket with items inside including videos, books,
software, and a slingshot as well as a logbook and pencil. He then
posted the coordinates in an internet GPS users'
group.
Within
three days, two different people read about his stash on the
Internet, used their own GPS receivers to find the container, and
shared their experiences online.
And with
these humble beginnings our sport was born!!

Run to
the skirt, lift it, find micro, sign log, return as found, run
back. Shortest time completing requirements wins
guess the
weight of the ammo can
Closest
to actual weight without going over wins

to the pin
Closest
to stake a flag to pre-determined coordinates wins
GPS
etch-a-sketch
Draw a
pre-determined image on your GPSr track recorder. Judge determines
most accurate as winner
Congrats to LionsLair for being scatter brained and
forgetting this event

FGA will
be hosting a 50/50 raffle to help with the cost of this
event.

are $1 each or 6 tickets for $5
There is
also going to be a special "10th Anniversary- Florida Edition"
multi-event coin available for sale for $10 each at this event.

Please
log your will attend log ASAP with # of attendees so plans can be
made according to your intent to attend and there are enough
accommodations for everyone
