This is a slightly larger than usual micro cache hidden beside the Llangollen Steam Railway, it contains only a logbook. There is no need to trespass on the railway to get to it, do not go through the gate. The area is where the railway is at its closest to the Llangollen Canal, and both steam trains and horse drawn narrow boats can be seen here at the same time. The Llangollen Railway runs on the trackbed of the Ruabon to Barmouth line of the Great Western Railway, which was closed to all traffic in 1968. In 1975 the Llangollen Railway Society took over and gradually re-opened the 7.5 miles to Carrog, the railway's terminus until 2014 when a further extension was opened to a temporary station at Corwen. There are plans for a new station, nearer the town centre, in the near future There is plenty of on street parking nearby.
