FR : Un deuxième event ce printemps en Suisse Romande!
ENG : A second event this spring in the French-speaking part of Switzerland!

FR : Il y a 10 ans, le système GPS sortait de son confinement militaire et s'ouvrait à un monde de loisirs et de contacts humain. Grâce à cette démocratisation de la technologie et à la suppression de l'accessibilité sélective, le géocaching était rendu possible et ne s'en est pas privé. Deux jours plus tard, la première cachée était posée.Trois jours plus tard, le premier FTF de l'histoire du jeu était fait et le virus s'est répandu.

C'est pour fêter cet anniversaire que nous vous convions au Refuge du Montfort à Echallens à partir de 11h pour partager bonne chère, joyeuse compagnie, jeux et discussions, et aussi pour approfondir les liens déjà créés par ce hobby qui nous fait voir du pays.

Pour garder les choses simples, nous vous proposons de partager un repas de type canadien, que chacun amène ce qu'il veut manger et/ou partager et tout le monde y trouvera son compte. Amenez aussi vos boissons et vos couverts. Il y a un grill sur place, et donc une possibilité de faire un barbecue. Amenez vos saucisses!

Pour égayer le dessert (que nous vous offrons), des jeux vous seront proposés avec des prix de circonstance, puis nous ferons une photo festive avec tous les participants.

Comme il y aura de très nombreux events de ce genre à la même date à travers le monde, un géocoin spécial a été édité pour commémorer l'événement et vous pourrez en acheter sur place. Il y aura une centaine de pièces disponibles! De plus, Groundspeak offre une icône unique pour les 10 Years! events qui répondent à certains critères... et le nôtre s'y tient pour l'instant. La dernière chose qui reste à faire, c'est la photo festive avec 10 ou plus participants.

Nous espérons vous rencontrer nombreux (le refuge peut abriter jusqu'à 80 personnes)! A très bientôt!
Indiquez votre intention de venir par un "Will Attend" log et non pas un "Attended". Tout doublon de log "Attended" sera supprimé après l'event.

ENG : 10 years ago, the GPS system was liberated from its military-only use and opened itself to a world of hobbies and human contact. Thanks to this accessibility to everybody and the suppression of selective availability, geocaching was made possible and used this opportunity! Two days later, the first cache was hidden. Three days later, the first FTF in history was logged and the virus spread on.

To commemorate this anniversary in a proper way, we invite you to the Refuge du Montfort in Echallens from 11:00 to share a good meal, happy gathering, games and talks, and to further deepen the bonds we have already created through this hobby that makes us travel!

To keep things simple, we suggest we share a potluck meal, where everyone brings what they want to eat and share, and everyone will be happy. Please bring your drinks and cutlery as well.There is a barbecue place so bring your sausages if you want!

To have a merry dessert (which we offer you), we will hold games with fitting rewards, and we will take a fun party picture with all attendants after that.

As there will be numerous events like this at the same time throughout the world, a special geocoin has been minted to commemorate the multi-event and you will have the opportunity to buy some. A hundred pieces will be in stock! In addition, a unique icon will be granted to all 10 Years! events that qualify to a few requirements... and our does so far! The only thing that is left to do is the fun party and festive picture with 10 or more attendants.

Please notify your intention to come with a "Will Attend" log (and not an "Attended" one). Any double "Attended" log will be deleted after the event.
