Geocache Description:

Cache en honor al desarrollo del Puerto de las Américas en Ponce. El cache se encuentra localizado en un área cerca del Puerto, desde donde podrán ver las nuevas grúas Super Post Panamax instaladas el 22 de enero. Hay varias áreas para estacionarse cerca del cache. Cuidado con el tránsito, y usen tácticas para que los muggles no los detecten. Noten en el área las vías de tren para transportar carga desde el puerto.

FTF se lleva una moneda de $0.50 con la figura de John Kennedy.

El Puerto de Ponce fue fundado en 1911, y ha sido clave para el desarrollo económico de la región sur. Desde hace varios años el municipio de Ponce ha estado desarrollando el Puerto de las Américas como uno de los destinos de carga principal en la isla. Para este propósito se han realizado varias obras de construcción y expansión para habilitar el puerto. El 22 de enero de 2010 se instalaron dos grúas procedentes de Shangai, China que permitirán el atraco de barcos de mayor capacidad.

This cache has been placed in honor of the development of the Port of the Americas in Ponce. This cache is located in an area very close yo the Port, from which you will be able to see the new Super Post Panamax cranes installed January 22nd. There are various parking areas around the chace. Beware of traffic, and stealth is a most. You can also see train tracks for the transport of cargo from the Port.

The Port of Ponce was established in 1911, and has allowed the economic development of the Southern region of Puerto Rico. During the last decade, the local municipality has been expanding the port, renaming it Port of the Americas to reflect its higher scope. New roads and structures have been set in place for this purpose. On January 22, 2010 two new cranes from Shanghai, China arrived to the port, which will allow bigger ships to arrive with cargo.
