Geocache Description:

A chapel is known to have existed in Heyshott before 1144. The church of Heyshott was presumably founded as a chapel to that of St. James at Stedham; it was so styled in 1291 and it continued attached to Stedham until 1882, when it was constituted an independent rectory in the gift of the bishop of Chichester. Over the south door is the Royal Arms as borne 1714–1800. Of the three bells the oldest may be ascribed to William Founder (c. 1400)

The co-ordinates above are for the church. Enter the churchyard by the west gate and look for Thomas Bayley Potter's grave. In which year was he born? 18AB.
There is a very unusual round headstone, for the Greens. In which year was Herbert Edward Green born? 19CD.

You can now find the cache at; N50 57.(A+D)A(A+B) W000 43.(D+D)C(B-A). Please replace carefully so that it remains hidden.

If anybody would like to expand this series please do, I would just ask that you could let sadexploration know first so he can keep track of the Church numbers and names to avoid duplication.
