Geocache Description:

A small 35mm on an old medieval dam by Hawkins pond.

Quick little cache and dash based on "Hammer it with a view". Bring your own pen and watch out for muggles. This cache is on the route from London to Brighton.

The cache is situated on what was on old medieval dam. The dam was made in order to provide water for the furnaces in the area to produce iron. However, the competition from the midlands and the use of coal ended the use of these dam's by the end of the 17th century.

If you park at the other end you can also see a plaque giving more detail on the dam, then you can walk over the other side to collect the cache.

This cache replaces What's This #3.
