The Church of St Mary the Virgin (known locally as Hound Church) was erected in year 1230 by the Cistercian monks of Hamble Priory. It is a simple structure, comprising a chancel, a nave and a bell tower with 3 bells. In 1391 it was purchased by the founder of Winchester College, William de Wykeham.
The Lych Gate was rebuilt using stones from the Church of St Mary in Southampton which was bombed in 1940.

You are looking for a Bison.
If any body would like to expand to this series please do, I would just ask that you could let Sadexploration know first so he can keep track of the Church numbers and names to avoid duplication
Good Hunting!
