What you need: good hiking footwear, not suffering on vertigo, sure-footedness
T-rating may vary from visitor to visitor - for some it's T3 for others T4.5 probably.
However, no additional gear is needed to reach the box.
This cache leads you to an significant archaeological site of Gran Canaria, the Roque Bentayga (alt. 1415m), one of the most spectacular monoliths of the island and provides impressive views (up, down & around). Near the cache you will notice an ancient ritual place, where the ancient people sacred goat milk to placate the gods.
The Centro de Interpretacion del Bentayga offers more information about this area, no entrance fee.
Opening hours (not validated): Tue - Sun 11am-4pm (if you want to be sure call 928 17 03 84)
In total you will need approx. 1h from parking to parking.
Don't try to approach the cache directly from the ritual place, there's an moderate ascent 20-30m further.
Whatever you do, remember: you're responsible for your own - if you haven't enough self-confidence better return, it's not a shame.
