Geocache Description:

ITEMS NEEDED- DARK OF NIGHT and FLASHLIGHT.
PARK CLOSES AT 10PM park outside the gates at the Marina if its close to closing time.

This is the brief tale of the night I followed THREE trails. TWO of the trails lead me to A FINAL LOGBOOK CONTAINER (you can log one or both) and ONE TRAIL lead me to just a big "X".

There was something strange that Night in the air.
I could feel it with every swirl of wind against my neck, I could hear it in every snow packed cracking step, I could sense it in the sounds of the crack of the trees, and the batteries of my GPS died.
I stood at a crossroad next to a shelter, a choice of three trails to follow.
As I walked down the trails I got clues of a glow almost that of eye in a light. It was a sparkle that seemed to just disappear as I was on top of it. I would than spot another ghostly glow down the trail.

It was just about 40 minutes prior I was bragging up a good yarn about how I knew Crosby park like the back of my hand. I have known this park since I member of the St. Paul Jaycee's and spent July to Halloween in the tunnel that is now bricked and fenced up. Anybody who knows me knows that many times I'm running on bad batteries and limited battery life in my flashlight.
I was just boasting how I could run out to that cache without a gps and find the cache. I knew I needed a flashlight but I only had a bad one that I couldn't even begin to count how many times I smacked it.

As I found the 1st cache I heard a noise of a large crack. I quickly placed the cache back into its location and bolted to the next location. Running down the trail I realized I didn't sign the logbook and figured I'd just log the next cache instead.
Walking down the next trail I could hear breathing right behind me and I turned and looked I saw its breath in the cold but I couldn't make out the image of what was following me I threw the cache down and bolted back to the shelter to be with the group again. As I ran back I saw large footprint Trails that crisscrossed my own prints in the snow that had glittery glow to them.

I didn't say anything as I sat down near the fire. Two hours later a squatter came out of the woods from the north and sat next to me mumbling something.
He was talking in gibberous. "Sam Crow.....Indian half brother.....Thomas Crosby......died....fight with Pig's eye.......treasure.....did you see it??....tree..bridge..river..its there...
He than yell at me, "Don't go back! Sam Crow is the Grim Reaper!"
He left in a full blast spring into the woods when he saw King Boreas running over to us.
