Geocache Description:

This is a regular cache located on a walking path that follows the Androscoggin River on the Topsham shore. The trail itself is walking friendly but the 3 stars is due to the location of the cache itself. While kid friendly, caution should be taken with children due to the proximity of the shoreline. If you are observant you can see the remnant of an old rail bed from when a spur was here servicing the grain mills at the turn of the century.

Take the time to appreciate the views and wildlife. There is ample parking on both the Topsham side of the river and the Brunswick side at the historic foot bridge. It’s worth the walk across this recently restored bridge.

The cache itself is a semi-camo painted 2 plastic jar. There is some swag for trading.
