Geocache Description:

The French colony of Louisiana originally claimed all the land on both sides of the Mississippi River and north to French territory in Canada. In 1803, the Louisiana Territory was purchased by the United States for less than 3 cents an acre. The Louisiana Purchase doubled the size of the United States overnight, without a war or the loss of a single American life, and set a precedent for the purchase of territory. It opened the way for the eventual expansion of the United States across the continent to the Pacific.

This should be an easy park and grab cache if you are looking for a cache to add another state to your map. The tourist center has reopened so we thought we should add another cache to this location. There could be muggles, so stealth is required. If you want to drive next to the cache take the truck / RV exit to the cache.
