Århus Sights - ARoS
I 2004 fik Århus sit nye kunstmuseum ARoS. Med hele 17.700 m2 fordelt over 9 etager er ARoS et af Nordeuropas største kunstmuseer, og lige som de fysiske rammer er ambitionerne store. ARoS ønsker således at være kendt og værdsat som et nyskabende og attraktivt kunstmuseum – både nationalt og internationalt.
I cacheudsæggelsesåret arbejdes der på at etablere museets nye vartegn: Olafur Eliassons 30 millioner kroner dyre kunstværk ”Himmelrummet”, som er en cirkelrund udsigtsgang indkapslet i glas med alle regnbuens farver.

In the year 2004 the city of Aarhus celebrated the opening of its new art museum ARoS. The museum is one of the largest art museums in the Northern part of Europe, covering 17.700 square metres on 9 floors. The ambitions of the museum are equally high. ARoS desires to be known and appreciated as an innovative and attractive art museum – both nationally and internationally.
During the year, where the cache was placed, a new landmark for the museum is under construction: A 30 million crowns project by artist Olafur Eliasson called “Your rainbow panorama”. It is a circular viewing platform made of glass in all the colours of the rainbow.

Im Jahre 2004 bekam Århus sein neues Kunstmuseum ARoS. Mit nicht weniger als 17.700 m2 Fläche auf 9 Etagen verteilt ist ARoS eines der grössten Kunstmuseen Nordeuropas, und genau wie die äussere Erscheinung sind auch die Ambitionen gross. ARoS möchte als innovatives und attraktives Kunstmuseum bekannt sein - auf nationaler wie auf internationaler Ebene.
Im Jahre des Cacheauslegens wird an der Etablierung des neuen Wahrzeichens des Museums gearbeitet: Olafur Eliassons 30 Millionen teures Kunstwerk "Himmelrummet" (Himmelsraum), ein zirkelförmiger gläserner Aussichtsgang in allen Farben des Regenbogens.
