Carlisle Bay Right-Angle Traditional Geocache

This cache has been archived.

erik88l-r: As there's been no cache to find for months, I'm archiving it to keep it from continually showing up in search lists, and to prevent it from blocking other cache placements. If you wish to repair/replace the cache sometime in the next 30 days, just contact us (by email), and assuming it meets the guidelines, we'll be happy to unarchive it.

Geocache Description:

Located above the high tide water line along the southern half of Carlisle Bay. Enjoy the beach, sun and sand while searching.

Thanks to fellow geocacher, look for a film canister at the base of the wall. (Please read log from 3 December) Begin your trek along the shoreline from the beach entrance across from the Prime Minister's Office. Head south along the water's edge in the direction of the Aquatic Club. If you are in front of the Barbados Yacht Club flag mast and boat yard you have come too far south.
Your point of reference is the northwest corner of a low wall. ***Modification: Work your way east along the north face of the lowest wall. All measurements must now be taken from the line on the lowest wall where it then slopes upward to the next level. In other words, from the vertical line at the point where the wall slopes diagonally up to the next height with glass shards. End of Modification**** From that point of reference measure 4^2 feet east, from this new point then at 90 degrees measure 3^2 feet north, The cache is a black topped red plastic container found by moving the loose dry white coral sand with your hands to a depth of 20cm. The original contents were placed on Barbados 43rd Independance Day. The cache contains a small green Finding Nemo frisbee; small doll with rollerblades; a superball in a plastic case; 2 AA size batteries; micro cache logbook and cache instructions. Refreshments are available at the north end of the beach closer to town.

UPDATE March 05, 2012: Owner was unable to find cache, prompted in a request to owner email. Possible misplacement by earlier overzealous geocacher. THE LOCAL NEIGHBOUR IS POINTING YOU TO THE WRONG PLACE. HE IS PUTTING YOU 4 FEET WEST OF DESIRED GZ !!! Replaced with two layers of Red Coffee container with Black top. One inside the other. Hope that the original cache, sadly in wrong location, can be found, retrieved and put in correct GZ as follows " 16 feet East and then 9 feet North of wall reference point" . IGNORE ALL PHOTOS BEFORE OCTOBER 31, 2010 as HURRICANE TOMAS REQUIRED A MODIFICATION OF ORIGINAL LOCATION AND COORDINATES !!!! IF YOU ARE OPPOSITE THE LOWEST WALL (WITHOUT GLASS SHARDS) YOU ARE IN THE WRONG PLACE LOOKING FOR GZ !!!
