To my trusted
apprentice:
In the process of seeking a new
patron after the invasion by the French and Ludovico Sforza's fall
from power in 1499, I discovered a mechanism by which I could shift
forward in time and space for short bursts. One such event
propelled me 500 years into the future and into the far reaches of
the new world.
While in this strange and wondrous
time and location, I deposited a cache of my treasured valuables at
the side of a trail so as not to lose them, and concocted a
delightful puzzle by which I could again find them.
It has been some time now since I
checked on my cache, and I need you to visit it and confirm for me
that it is still there. Feel free to take any of the items that I
have placed therein, so long as you replace it with a treasure of
your own.
I have hidden my items utilizing a
three-stage puzzle. You will need to bring along paper and a
writing implement for notes and sketches, as well as a Swiss Army
knife with a slotted screwdriver (or just the screwdriver, but I
consider the amazing Swiss Army knife one of the seven wonders of
the world).
To begin, proceed toward the
coordinates above and seek the Way of the Trout. When you arrive at
the first stage of the puzzle, you will be looking for my cable of
white -- a wondrous cord fashioned of a material called "Nylon."
When you have finished with your retrieval of the clues at the
first stage, be sure to return them to their original condition.
Remember, others shall follow you.
Best wishes on your
journey,
