[LV] !!! Tornī kāpt slidenā, sniegotā, slapjā laikā ir stingri aizliegts, jo kāpnes ir loti stāvas!!! Par to brīdina arī zīme pie torņa. Tornis atrodas Krustkalnu rezervata pie paša cela. No torna paveras plašs skats pari koku galotnem. Pie šī torņa blakus ir ozols kuru stādījis pats K.Ulmanis. Krustkalnu dabas rezervats dibinats 1977. gada. Rezervats atrodas Madonas rajona. Ta platiba 2915 ha. Administrativi paklauts Teicu dabas rezervatam. Geologiski Krustkalnu dabas rezervats atrodas uz Madonas-Trepes valna un Duku-Svetes ieplaka. Rezervata teritorija loti pauguraina. Cauri rezervatam tek Svetupe un tas pieteka Niedruška, rezervata rietumu malu norobežo Nirite. Rezervata teritorija ir 13 ezeri, no tiem lielakais ir Dreimanu jeb Svetes ezers, Lielais un Mazais Plencis. Dažu ezeru krastos izveidojušies saldudens kalku nogulumi, daudz avotu, no tiem pazistamakie ir Krakas avoti Svetes ezera krasta. [ENG] !!! To climb the tower is strictly forbidden in slippery, snowy, and wet weather, because steps are very steep !!! Thats also written on sign at the tower. Tower is located in Krustkalni nature reserve at the road. From the tower there is scenic wiev ower reservation. Near the tower is an oak, that was planted by K.Ulmanis, one of the first presidents of Latvia. The Krustkalni Nature Reserve was established in 1977, and the diversity of plants in the region is based both on the terrain – the Madona-Trepe embankment, a series of hillocks with low areas among them, swamps and small lakes – and on the biotope – natural meadows, forest glades, places where underground streams bubble up to the surface, and vast areas of forest with very old stands of trees. Some 800 types of plants have been defined in the reserve. It can be toured only in the company of a guide from reserve headquarters, and one must apply in advance.
