Brandys - St. Boleslav #1 ( Nizsi Hradek )
Nizsi Hradek je jednou z puvodnich osad, jejichz spojenim vzniklo mesto Brandys.
Centrem osady Nizsi Hradek byval puvodne romansky kostel sv. Vavrince. Goticka prestavba v casech Karla IV. jej vyzdobila freskovou vymalbou. Kostel mel pohnute osudy. Za josefinskych reforem byl prodan, slouzil jako sypka i telocvicna Sokola. Na pocatku 20. stoleti byl zachranen z rozvalin diky peci zemskeho mistodrzitele Frantiska knizete Thuna, hrabete Nostice, arcivevody Ludvika Salvatora
i cisarskeho paru Karla a Zity. O jeho zasadni opravu se postarala Okresni jednota muzejni ve dvacatych letech 20. stoleti a dnes kostel slouzi jako modlitebna cirkve Cs. husitske.
Ulice Na Nizsim Hradku je lemovana puvodnimi zemedelskymi usedlostmi. V jedne z nich, oznacene pametni deskou, zil a pracoval staroboleslavsky rodak, RNDr. Antonin Becvar, astronom svetove proslulosti. V zahradach statku dodnes stoji jeho prvni hvezdarna.
Od kostelika sv. Vavrince se naskyta krasny pohled pres udoli Vinorskeho potoka na stary Brandys. Potok, svedeny do podzemi , byval v ulici Na Strouze premosten drevenou lavkou a tvoril hranici Nizsiho Hradku s osadou Vyssiho Hradku.

Brandys - St. Boleslav #1 ( Nizsi Hradek )
Nizsi Hradek is one of the original settlements, whose merger created city Brandys. Center of the village used to be Romanesque church of Saint Lawrence. Gothic reconstruction in times of Charles IV. it decorated fresco paintings. Church had troubled lives. For Joseph's reforms were sold, served as a granary and gyms Sokol. In the early 20th century was saved from ruin thanks furnace governor Franz Count Thun, Count Nostic, Archduke Ludwig Salvator and the imperial couple Karl and Zita. The correction of its essential unity of the district museum took care of in the twenties of the 20th century and today serves as a church prayer Czechoslovak Hussite Church. Nizsi Hradek Street lined the original farms. In one of them, marked with a commemorative plaque, lived and worked Stara Boleslav native, RNDr. Antonin Becvar, astronomer, world-renown. In the gardens of the farm still standing his first observatory. The Church of Saint Vavrinec is shaping beautiful view over old Brandys over the valley of the Vinorsky creek.
