- St. Boleslav #2 ( Vyssi Hradek )
Vyssi Hradek
byl spojen s Brandysem az roku 1559, v dobe, kdy
brandyske panstvi bylo jiz majetkem cisarske a kralovske komory. Do
te doby si udrzoval svoji samostatnost.
Cerveny dum na male navsi je byvalou hradeckou
rychtou. Sousedni kostel sv. Petra se svym starim
vyrovna romanskym kostelum staroboleslavskym. Nektere prameny
kladou jeho vznik take uz
do 10. stoleti, jine do casu vlady knizete Vladislava I. na pocatku
12. stoleti. Jeho dnesni podoba je prevazne goticka a slouzi cirkvy
Ceskobratrske evangelicke. Pres Vyssi Hradek po uboci Vinorskeho
potoka kdysi vedla stara vozova cesta ku Praze - dnesni hlavni
silnice z Brandysa na Starou Boleslav
se zarezava mezi pahorky zamku a Hradku, kopiruje zamecky prikop z
doby 30-ti lete valky a usti
na mosty pres reku Labe.
Barokni budova byvaleho spitalu u paty mostu vlevo stoji na miste
renesancniho spitalu, zboreneho Svedy roku 1639. Novy mestsky
spital z roku 1770 byl vyzdoben freskou v pruceli se
starobeleslavskou poutni scenou - svaty Vaclav uctiva Palladium a
zebrak prijima milodar od svate Ludmily.
Dalsi vyznamnou stavbou v teto casti mesta je renesancní katovna se
sgrafitovou fasadou, nyni
s muzejni expozici utrpneho prava. Teto budove je venovana kes
Katovna.
Uzka stredoveka ulicka, zvana Piaristicka, vede od
katovny vzhuru po uboci pahorku primo do centra Vyssiho Hradku. Nad
ni se tyci vystavna rokokova budova piaristicke residence, koleje
skolskeho radu piaristu, ktera se pozdeji, v 19. stoleti stala
utulkem slepych divek - jeho zakladatel katolicky knez
Frantisek Seywalter je take pohrben na mestskem
hrbitove.

Brandys

Vyssi Hradek was associated
with Brandys up in 1559, at a time when Brandys estate already
owned by Imperial and Royal Chamber.
Until then, maintain their independence.
The red house on the small square is a former magistrate's office.
The neighboring church of Saint Petr is its age offset romanesque
churches from Stara Boleslav - some sources put its origin also had
the 10th century, others to the time of the princes Vladislav I in
the early 12th century. Its present appearance is mainly Gothic

along the slopes of the hill right into the center of Vyssi Hradek.
Above it rises an exhibition Rococo building Piarist residence,
school board Piarist College, which later, in the 19th century has
become rather a shelter blind girls - the founder of the Catholic
priest Frantisek Seywalter is also buried at the city
cemetery.
