Geocache Description:

Container is a lock-n-lock container hidden in the woods This area may get a bit wet certain times of year.

This cache is placed in honor of a group of six guys who in the summer of 1989 ventured to Northern Canada for a 45 day, 500 mile canoeing adventure that ended in the Hudson Bay. It was an attempt to follow the wildest portion of the route that Eric Sevareid and his pal Walt Port took in 1930 right after graduating from high school and that Eric later wrote about in 'Canoeing With the Cree'. For the Hommes Du Norde of '89 there were forest fires, rapids, and most of all good times and great memories. Seize the Day!
