De Kei van Exloo
Dit is de eerste
cache van AHKoeleman die wij verstoppen, we hopen dat hij een lang
leven heeft en dat hij veel cache plezier oplevert. Het is een
kleine cache maar echt geen micro het kleine zit hem meer in het
opberg vakje voor de log strips, U moet een potlood mee brengen om
te loggen.
De cache ligt in een
wijk in Den Haag waar de namen van de straten naar Drentse plaatsen
genoemd zijn. Vandaar de naam Exloo dat plaatsje ligt redelijk
dichtbij de Hunebedden in Drenten. De cache bevind zich aan de rand
van het speel terrein voor kinderen uit de buurt en voor de school
kinderen van de school die aan het parkje ligt. Dus oppassen met
cache zodat de school kinderen het niet zien. Leg de cache ook weer
terug zoals u hem gevonden heeft zodat andere Geocachers hem ook
kunnen vinden.
We zijn begonnen met cache door Louise haar stief dochter
Trudy die in Ottawa woont en daar was
begonnen met Geocachen. Ze liet ons
zien hoe het werkte. Toen we terug waren in
Newfoundland (wat ons zomer verblijf
is) zijn we daar gestart met onze
TomTom om wat te vinden maar onze
eerste opging was niet te vinden. Het is ook wel moeilijk met al
die bergen om wat te vinden. Maar met wat oefenen ging het goed en
daar 10 cache’s gevonden. Terug in
Nederland hebben we een Oregon 300
aangeschaft en dat werkt wel een stuk beter dan de
TomTom. Nu plaatsen we onze eerste
cache en hopen dat er nog meer volgen.

De Stone of Exloo
This
is the very First cache of AH Koeleman that we are hiding, we hope
that it will have a long life and that it will give a lot of
pleasure. It is a small cache but by no means a micro, the
smallness is more in the hiding place for the log strips. You have
to take a pencil to log in.
The
cache is in a district in The Hague where all the street names come
from the province of Drente, hence the
name Exloo, that place lies close to
the stonegraves
“Hunebeds” in
Drente. The cache is located at the
border of the play area for the
neighbourhood children and for the
children of the school nearby, so be careful when you find the
cache so that the children will not see it. Place the cache back
like you found it so other Geo-cachers
can find it as well
We
started caching this past summer after we heard about it from my
partner’s daughter Trudy. She lives in Ottawa and had started to
Geo-cache there. Once back in Newfoundland where we spent the
summer we started ourselves, using the Tom
Tom. Our first tries were not very
successful, it was fairly difficult because in our eyes all rocks
looked alike We did get the hang of it and became better and
located at least 10 caches. Now we are back in the Netherlands and
bought an Oregon 300 and that Works much better than the Tom
Tom.
So we decided to place
a cache ourselves and hope more will follow.
