Iglesia Románica de Coruxo

La actual iglesia fue, en su origen, una iglesia monasterial.
Tiene planta basilical de tres naves y tres ábsides semicirculares, siendo el central más ancho y elevado. Los tres ventanales del ábside central fueron tapiados, lo cual hizo desaparecer sus elementos decorativos. Sin embargo se abrieron otros dos ventanales, uno a cada lado del presbiterio, para dar más luz, aunque éstos no se encuadran dentro del estilo que predomina en el conjunto.
En los laterales se conservan las antiguas luciérnagas, aunque las que están en el lado del Evangelio perdieron los fustes de las pequeñas columnas. Una y otra están también cegadas. Bajo el tejado hay una cornisa a la que están adosados canecillos iguales en tamaño pero de dibujo diferente.
Se encuentra esta iglesia en la carretera Vigo - Baiona, dispone de aparcamiento, hay que actuar con discrección debido a las viviendas que están al lado de la iglesia

The present church was originally a monastery church.
It has a basilica with three naves and three semicircular apses, the central one being wider and higher. The three central apse windows were boarded up, which wiped out their decorative elements. However it opened two windows, one on each side of the chancel, to give more light, although they do not fall within the dominant style in the set.
On the sides are preserved ancient fireflies, while those on the Gospel side lost the shafts of small columns. Again and are also blinded. Under the roof there is a ledge to which are attached corbels equal in size but different design.
This church is located on the road Vigo - Baiona, parking available, discretion must be exercised because of the homes that are next to the church
