Geocache Description:

A nice easy Drive By. Placed to make you stop and admire the view. It is all too easy to drive through the Conwy Valley without taking in the beauty.

Parking for this cache is right along side in a large layby. Please be careful with children and geomutts as this is alongside a busy main road.

The cache contains a log book, pencil, marble and bouncy ball. It is small but will take small TB's.

The Conwy Valley should not just be seen as a route from A to B. It has beauty (and caches) all the way along the path of the River Conwy.
From its source high up on Migneint moor where a few small streams flow into the Llyn Conwy it then flows in a generally northern direction, being joined by tributaries of the rivers Machno and Lledr before reaching Betws-Y-Coed, where it is also joined by the river Llugwy.
From Betws-Y-Coed the river continues to flow north through Llanrwst, Trefriw (where it is joined by the Afon Crafnant) and Dolgarrog before reaching the Sea at Conwy.

During the spring tides the river is tidal as far as Llanrwst. Despite this the passenger ferry departing from Conwy will only come as far as the section of river which can been seen from GZ. Looking down river towards Glan Conwy and Conwy, several cache sites can be seen, also keep your eyes peeled for the many Jetskies in summer and wakeboarders in August/September.

To celebrate their milestone, the 100th cache placed by
Team Marzipan was called The Mother Cache (GC15RYZ)
The object of The Mother Cache is for finders to take one of the ready-prepared caches, BUT ONLY if they are going to hide it as a Daughter Cache.
This is one of Two taken by myself and hidden. The two sisters in my care both want to be tour guides, the second one is in the Vale of Clwyd (GC20ERY). Can you find both and complete the family?
