Depuis Tarentaise en prenant la direction de Saint-Genest-Malifaux, on tombe sur le Pont Sauvignet tout au fond de la vallée occupé par le Furan. Outre des départs de randonnée, c’est ici qu’est indiqué le sapin géant. Né sous Louis XV, il atteint une hauteur de 43,40 m et sa circonférence dépasse les 4,30 m.
