Hubelj ze skoraj milijon let soustvarja zgodovino prebivalcev, ki so se naseljevali ob Mrzli reki, kot so jo poimenovali Rimljani. Izvir Hublja je prijeten koticek za postanek in oddih, dandanes priljubljena rekreativna tocka.
Priporocen obisk - po obilnem dezevju (kraski izvir). Takrat voda s silovito mocjo vre iz stevilnih lukenj ter v mogocnih slapovih pada v strugo. Ko ni dezevja, je pri izviru bolj spokojno in preprosto, vendar se vedno lepo.
Tukaj je tudi izhodisce mnogih poti, ki vodijo do vrhov in slikovitih razglednih tock. Ob desnem bregu Hublja je speljana naravoslovna ucna pot (izhodisce je v sportnem centru Pale). V blizini izvira je tudi gostisce.
Trenutno (oktober 2009) se ob izviru odvijajo obnovitvena dela vodovoda, kar nekoliko kazi celotno podobo.
Nedalec stran je skrit tudi bonus cache - 'Fuzine ob Hublju'. Zgrabi ga :)

It has been almost million years now since Hubelj has been co-creating the history of inhabitants, settling along the Cold River, as once calles by the Romans. The Hubelj spring is a cosy nook for a short halt or a long rest, nowdays a popular recreational place.
Recomended time of visit: after heavy rainfall (karst spring). The water pours out of the numerous holes, falling down to the riverbed in mighty waterfalls. When there are no rains, it is more peaceful and simple by the spring but nevertheless still beautiful.
Here, one may also find the starting points of many trails, leading to mountain tops and beauty spots in the surrounding countryside. On the right bank you can find naturalistic educational trail (starting point at sports center Pale). Near the Hubelj's source there is also a guesthouse.
Currently (October 2009), water supply system reconstruction is taking place nearby, which is slightly ruining the whole 'image'.
Not far away a bonus cache is hidden, 'Fuzine ob Hublju'. Go get it :)
