[ENG] Film container, inside - cache note, log book and pencil. You can find container without going inside in the monastery! Please, put a container inside, that it would be invisible!

Pravoslaveibys viesture Jakubmista isasuoka 16 godusymta, kod nu Krivejis pa Daugovu celuoja daudzi silejniki. Niulejuo pravoslavu kleštora apleicine nu 1670 da 1675 goda pastateja pyrmu kuka Svatuo Gora cierkvi i supluok taipat kleštoru. Apleik cierkvys teritorejai pastateja bizu myurini sinu ar saujamlukom, kas izglobuota da myuslaikim. Piec gunsnelaimem tyma poša vita 1887 goda pastateja myurini cierkvu Bizantejis stila – krystveida cierkvi ar picim kupolim i supluok asušu zvanineicu.
Cierkva ira slavanuo Jakobštatis Vysusvatuokuos Divadzymdynuotuojis ikona, diel tuo niule ituo vita ira Latvejis zeimeibys pravoslavu svatceluojuma pastatins.
Niule otkon dora veirišu Jakubmista Svatuo Gora kleštors. Ti dzeivoj 10 ticeibys veiri, kuri dut paleigu Jakubmista tryuceigajim i bezdarbnikim, poši struodoj galdiniceiba i sova saimisteiba. Dora biblioteka, svatdines škola, dveseliskais seminars ticeibys vuiceibys školuotuojim i virina vyrtuve.
Cierkva dora i krivu, i latvišu pravoslavu parapeja. Sevkura mieneša pyrmejuo svatdine – divakolpuošona latvyskai (tod vareiba iit vyda!).
Supluok Svatuo Gora cierkvys ira Svatuo Nikolaja Breinumdora cierkva (bolta kruosa) – Latveja vineiguo taidu miniaturu maru bazneica, pastateita 1774. goda gotikys stila. Daudzu godu bejuse Jakubmista latvišu pravoslavu vita.
Kleštora teritoreja ira Jakubmista viesturiskais centrys.

The history of orthodoxy in Jekabpils starts from 16 century, when many rafters from Russia travelled by river Daugava. Around the place of nowadays orthodoxal monastery from 1670 till 1675 was built first wooden church of the Holy Ghost and behind it also a monastery. Around the territory they built a deep wall bed with portholes, which you can see still today. After fire in the town, in 1887 at the same place was built Byzantine style masonry church with five cupolas and belfry next to the church.
In the church there is a famous ikon, so now this place is an aim of Latvia’s orthodoxals pilgrimage.
Nowadays there is a male Jekabpils monastery of the Holy Ghost. There are living 10 monks, who helps to Jekabpils deprived and unemployed people. They are working in their household and joinery. There is a libary, Sunday’s school, seminary for belief lesson teachers and a Soup kitchen.
In the church are Russian and Latvian parishes. Every first Sunday of month – Mass in Latvian (than you have a possibility to visit the territoty for sure!)
Next to the church of the Holy Ghost – Saint Nicola’s Thaumaturge’s church (white coloured). It’s an only church in Latvia which is such a miniature, built in 1774 in Gothic style. It has been a place for Latvian-speaking orthodoxals for many years.
The monastery’s territory is a historical center of Jekabpils.
