Geocache Description:

Smírčí kámen - Pánov

CZ : Tradiční jednoduchá cache u zajímavého smírčího kamene.
EN : An easy traditional cache near an interesting Conciliation Stone.

Cesky : Panov nebyval vzdycky tou malou vesnickou jakou je dnes, kdy tu lze obydlene domy spocitat na prstech. Kdysi tu byvala dokonce i tvrz a take treba reznik.

! Nehledejte prosím u samotného kamene, ať jej nepoškodíte, keška je pár metrů bokem !

English : Panov wasn’t always such a small village like today, when you can count its houses on your fingers. There even used to be a keep and also for example a butcher. And about the butcher is the history of this conciliation stone. According to a local legend, the butcher from Panov was taking a bull to the Deblin’s market, when the bull went amok, it horned him and so instantly killed him. The place of this unfortunate accident is marked by this stone.

I found this stone many years ago, when I was nearby on a tramp hobnob. I went to the museum in As, where I looked into a central record of conciliation stones. This one was filed under the number 1987. The stone itself has an embossment of a Latin cross and it belongs to the biggest stones in our country. It measures approximately 123x56x40 centimetres.

The cache itself is a small plastic box with logbook and pencil. It may contain also CWG, GC or small TB.

! Please don’t search around the stone itself, the cache is several meters away !
