Geocache Description:

Another church micro, this one at St Mary the Virgin,
Upwaltham.

This is a small 12th century drovers' church with the unusual shape
of a rounded chancel and it nestles in the picturesque South Downs.
The west window and single lights in the apse are 14th century.
There is a full set of chandeliers and a bellcote at the west
end.


To find the cache you need to answer some questions. The
co-ordinates above are for the first question.


Question 1 Go to N50 54.987 W000 39.592. For how long was Greg
Chapman a churchwarden? Answer = AB years. His wife was PCC
secretary for how many years? Answer = C0.


Question 2 Go to N50 54.983 W000 39.600. When was Albert
Hedgecock born? Answer = 23.D.1904. When did his wife Elizabeth
die? Answer = E.6.1976.
