Meironys is an old village formerly called Antadringe.
Some sources claim it was first mentioned in 1557 while the
information board in the village says it was first mentioned back
in 1357. Either way it is a rather old village.
The village is famous for the meironians float their cows by the
lake to rich grasslands in spring time and float them back in the
fall. Also you can see wild orchids bloom along the shores of
Meirona River.
The coords provided are only approximate. As with all my hides I
try to do as much sampling as possible, but seldom get a
professional precision. Don't expect to find the cache exactly at
the numbers your GPSr reads. Other than plainly logging "off
coords" please add your version of correct coords, this will make
your entry useful both for cache owner and other seekers.
